- Open your order email or order page. If a secure link is supplied first, follow it to reveal the actual Uber gift code.
- Open the latest Uber or Uber Eats app and sign in to the account that should receive the credit.
- Open Account, then Wallet. Choose Add funds and Gift card; some versions place Gift card under Add payment method.
- Enter the gift code without extra spaces and choose Add. Complete any Uber Money setup or identity checks requested inside the app.
- Check your balance in Wallet. Select it when requesting a ride or placing an order and review any remaining payment before confirming.

Uber may convert the gift card into Uber Money. Setting up or using that balance can require identity verification. Follow the instructions within the official Uber app; buying a gift card does not remove those account requirements.
Give the unused gift code to the recipient so they can redeem it on their own account. Once a gift card has been added to your account, its balance cannot be transferred to somebody else’s account.
The app may ask you to add another payment method. Before confirming, check how much will come from your Uber balance and what remains to pay. An additional payment method may sometimes be required even when you have enough credit.
Check the selected payment method before confirming a ride or order. Tap it and choose your available Uber credit if it is not already enabled. Family profiles and certain types of rides have restrictions on gift card use.
